Dr. Dwyer Scott was born and raised in Lake View, SC. After graduating from Lake View High School, he attended Coastal Carolina University and then received his Bachelor’s of Science degree from Regents College, in Albany, New York. Dr. Scott attended Palmer College of Chiropractic where he earned his Doctorate in 2003 and began to practice in Chicago, IL upon his graduation. He soon developed his Maximized Living office in Myrtle Beach, SC in April 2003. During the past 5 years, people around the world have welcomed Dr. Scott’s teachings on health and healing principles and the dangerous misuse of western medicine.
Dr. Scott has established his practice on the firm and proven conviction that the failure of modern-day allopathic medicine is the sad result of physicians chasing symptoms with medication rather than addressing the root cause of disease. His patients receive treatment based on the fact that the human body has the ability to heal itself when interferences such as metal toxicity, poor nutrition, and subluxations are removed.
United Chiropractic’s sole purpose is to educate and lead individuals and families in how to live an optimally healthy life by fully expressing their full potential. By adjusting, empowering, and inspiring in the Myrtle Beach and the Grand Strand community, United Chiropractic steers patients towards optimal health using specific, scientific, natural and effective chiropractic care and Maximized Living protocols driven by love, service, and compassion.Dr. Scott is proof himself of the body's amazing ability for healing itself. Following the debilitating effects of a five year battle against chronic headaches, childhood stomach ulcers, and obesity, his deteriorating health manifested in sickness and disease that was rapidly destroying his life.
The doctor's illness, and his eventual command over it, made him a better and more effective doctor. His faith, personal victories over disease, and years of extensive research and studying have enabled Dr. Scott to help patients suffering from the same health issues he once had, as well as the entire spectrum of sicknesses and diseases. The most rewarding aspects of his career are the miracles he sees each and every day in his office as lives are changes and transformed. As teacher and mentor B.J, Palmer once stated, Dr. Scott is “in the business of changing the thoughts and actions of the world”
